Meet the Staff at SKTC

Sensei Stephen Bonk

Sensei Bonk is the head instructor at SKTC. He is a third Degree Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kosho Ryu Kempo. He has been given authority to promote students in both ranking systems. In addition to teaching, he is a student of Shihan John Evans and Bruce Juchnik Hanshi. Sensei also studies Gracie Brazilian Jui-Jitsu under Allan Manganello and Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaijutsu under Jeff Driscoll Sensei.

Sensei Bonk has been training in martial arts for over 25 years and instructing adults and children for over 12. He can be found attending martial arts seminars all over the country, constantly improving his own understanding of the arts. He may be contacted at: sbonk@shaolinkempotraining.com

Sensei Samantha Hakala

Ms. Hakala has been training for over 12 years and has attained the rank of 2nd degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo under Sensei Bonk. She has also recently received her brown belt in Kosho Ryu Kempo. Ms. Hakala has recently been awarded the title Sensei under Sensei Bonk. Most of her teaching is enjoyed through the children's program.

Sempai Pam Clark

Sempai Clark is a green belt in Shaolin Kempo and a purple belt in Kosho Ryu Kempo.

Pat Surrell

Mr. Surrell is a Green Belt in shaolin Kempo under Sensei Bonk. Mr. Surell is a junior instructor who assists in the children's classes.

Don Theriault

Mr. Theriault is a Blue Belt in Shaolin Kempo under Sensei Bonk. He is also a Junior Instructor who assists in the kids classes.
