Sensei Bonk is the head instructor at SKTC. He is a third degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo with extensive training in Kosho Ryu Kempo. He has been given authority to promote students in both ranking systems. In addition to teaching, he is a student of Shihan John Evans and Bruce Juchnik Hanshi. Sensei also studies Gracie Brazilian Jui-Jitsu under Allan Manganello.
Sensei Bonk has been training in martial arts for over 20 years and instructing adults and children for over 12. He can be found attending martial arts seminars all over the country, constantly improving his own understanding of the arts. He may be contacted at: sbonk@shaolinkempotraining.com
Sempai Joe Cuneo
Sempai Cuneo is the senior student at the Shaolin Kempo Training Center. As such he has been awarded the title Sempai. As such he has many roles in the Dojo, including teaching classes for adults and children, assisting Sensei in class, helping students with their questions, taking on logistical duties, and many others. Sempai is a brown belt in Shaolin Kempo and white belt with two stripes in Gracie Jui-Jitsu. Sempai also spends many hours training in Kosho Ryu Kempo. when he is not working on his New Salem Farm he can be found traveling to martial arts seminars all across the country with Sensei Bonk.
Ms. Samantha Hakala
Ms. Hakala has been training for over 12 years and has attained the rank of black belt in Shaolin Kempo under Sensei Bonk. Ms. Hakala is an assistant instructor at SKTC. Most of her teaching is enjoyed through the children's program.
Mr. Johnson
Mr. Johnson is currently a blue belt in Shaolin Kempo. He also studies Kosho Ryu Kempo at SKTC. He is a junior instructor who helps out mainly through the children's program. He has been studying under Sensei Bonk for five years now.
Mr. Ben Bratko
Mr. Bratko is a recent addition to our staff at SKTC. Ben has been training in Martial Arts for over 8 years now and has recently attained the rank of Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo under Sensei Bonk. Ben has taken an active role in instructing the children's classes. He is also training in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.
Mr. Jason Harrington
Mr. Harrington holds a green belt in Shaolin Kempo and a white belt with three stripes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mr. Harrington also trains in mixed martial arts and is scheduled to debut in December. His responsibilities at the Dojo include assisting Sensei with the Jiu-Jitsu class on Wednesdays.
